Quinnipiac entrepreneurship majors had a record-breaking performance at the Connecticut State Business Plan Competition on December 11th, winning four of the six prizes including best presentation and best executive summary.
Quinnipiac teams beat teams from Yale, Trinity, Sacred Heart, University of Bridgeport, University of New Haven and Western Connecticut State.
Have a Heart, created by junior entrepreneurship major Bobby Palmieri, won both the best social enterprise prize and the overall prize for best presentation. Have a Heart helps children, who have lost a parent from heart disease, afford college.
JC’s Driving School, created by senior entrepreneurship majors Charles Blizard and Jacob Armenia, won the best service business prize and the best executive summary. JC’s Driving School is a do-it-yourself garage that offers a variety of driving classes.
All of the teams had Professors Dale Jasinski and David Tomczyk as their faculty advisors.
